A configurator can be generated from a product description, so you refine a working structure instead of authoring one from an empty project. The AI assistant then audits what you built — reviewing option coverage and conditional logic rather than leaving someone to click through every combination. Beyond that, the MCP server lets an assistant such as Claude connect with a scoped token and work against real projects: introspecting models, evaluating logic, calculating prices and generating quote summaries. Writes follow a propose, confirm and snapshot model, with rate limits and result size caps.
Feature questions
GLB, GLTF, FBX, OBJ, STL and DAE, plus ZIP archives bundling a model with its textures. GLB and GLTF are best for the web.
Yes. The Number Input block takes a value and scales the model on the X, Y or Z axis, bounded by minimums, maximums and steps you set. Pricing formulas can then reference those dimensions.
Yes. Image Upload accepts SVG, PNG, JPEG and WebP, and the Design Canvas positions, scales and rotates it on the product. SVG files with distinct fill colours are detected automatically so each colour can be changed at runtime.
Yes. The material library is shared across projects, and materials can be bulk-added to a configurator by category — so a full finish range becomes a swatch set rather than dozens of hand-built options.
Model versioning replaces the 3D file while preserving the configuration built around it, so a seasonal refresh does not mean rebuilding the project.
Yes. An embedded project broadcasts browser events — simplio3d:option.changed, simplio3d:form.submitted and simplio3d:quote.submitted — that your page can forward to analytics with origin verification.
