Zakeke Alternatives in 2026: 7 Product Configurators Compared

Zakeke is one of the best-known ways to add product personalisation and 3D to an online store, and for many shops it is a good fit. Some people start looking for a Zakeke alternative for a specific reason: the fee on each custom product sold, or the plan a feature sits on, such as conditional rules on Scale.

This guide sets out what Zakeke offers today, when it is worth staying, and how seven alternatives compare on 3D, rules, stores and price.

Disclosure: Simplio3D publishes this article and is one of the alternatives. Facts about other vendors come from their own websites, read on 2 November 2026. Prices and plans change, so check them with each vendor before you decide.

What Zakeke offers

Zakeke describes itself as an AI platform for D2C brands and manufacturers. Its product lines are a Visual Customizer, a 3D Configurator, AI Agent Studio, a 3D Asset Hub and AI Virtual Try-On, and it lists integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, PrestaShop, Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Etsy, Amazon and others.

Three things stand out:

  • Print-ready files. Included on every plan, in formats including PDF, PNG, SVG and DXF.
  • Virtual try-on. Browser-based, for eyewear, headwear, earrings, shoes, scarves and necklaces, with watches and bracelets marked as coming soon.
  • AI-generated 3D models. Its 3D Model Generation Agent is described as creating models “from prompts or images in seconds”.

Zakeke’s published plans

PlanBilled annuallyBilled monthlyPublished productsFee per custom product sold
Starter$59/month$69.90/month101.9%
Grow$110/month$129.90/month501.7%
Scale$255/month$299.90/month1001.5%
EnterpriseBy agreementBy agreementCustomCustom rates (its plan table shows 0%)

Two details matter when you compare it. The fee is worked out on the final product price, excluding tax and shipping, for each custom product sold through Zakeke, with a $0.03 minimum per item. And some features depend on the plan: pricing rules start on Grow, pricing rules for configurations and conditional rules start on Scale, “Get a quote” is an add-on from $49.90 on Grow and Scale, and virtual try-on is an add-on from $40. All three self-serve plans have a 14-day trial with no card required.

As a worked example, a store selling $20,000 of custom products a month on annual billing would pay about $439 on Starter ($59 plus 1.9%), $450 on Grow and $555 on Scale, before any add-ons.

When Zakeke is still the right choice

You may not need an alternative at all if these sound like you:

  • You sell personalised products and want print-ready files sent straight to production.
  • You want AI to create 3D models from a photo or a prompt. Not every platform does this: Simplio3D, for one, configures models you already have.
  • You want try-on for eyewear, earrings or shoes on the same platform as your customizer.
  • Your store runs on PrestaShop or Etsy. Zakeke lists both. Of the alternatives below, Customily lists them too, with PrestaShop on its Standalone plan from $299 a month.

Why people look for an alternative

These are the questions to ask of any vendor:

  • What does the fee cost at my order value? A percentage on each custom product adds up on high-value goods such as furniture or made-to-measure joinery, though Zakeke says to ask about a flat rate at high volume.
  • Which plan holds the rules I need? If combinations must be restricted, check where conditional logic starts.
  • How many products can I publish? Plan limits matter for a large catalogue.
  • Does the journey end in a cart or a quote? Made-to-order and B2B sellers often need a quote request with the full specification attached.
  • How is a price that depends on size modelled? Ask to see a price per square metre, or a two-dimensional price table, working on your own product.

The alternatives in more detail

Simplio3D

A good fit when the product has real rules and the price depends on them. Conditional logic, a visual formula editor and quote forms are all on the Starter plan, a Number Input can resize the model, and for a priced Configurator project the Shopify or WooCommerce cart can charge the price your rules calculated. Its pricing page lists a monthly price per plan and no per-sale fee. The limits: Starter holds up to 20 configurator projects and Pro adds 80, it has dedicated integrations for those two stores only, its AI drafts configurators but does not create 3D models, and AR, the pattern and canvas tools and API access start on Pro.

Kickflip

The closest like-for-like if your products are flat or simple and 2D is enough. It is no-code, with conditional logic and print-ready files, and it takes a percentage per sale as Zakeke does, so compare the two at your own volumes.

Customily

Built around personalised gifts and print on demand, with many sales channels and a fixed fee per item rather than a percentage, which can suit higher-priced products. Its pages describe realistic previews rather than 3D.

Threekit

Aimed at manufacturers with sales teams and dealer networks. It hands finished configurations to their other systems through a connection their team or integrator builds, and it publishes no prices.

Expivi

Worth a look if the configurator has to produce a bill of materials for your ERP. The CPQ is the core product and 3D is an option, which is the reverse of most personalisation tools.

Roomle

Strong on furniture and interiors, with a full-logic configurator and a separate room designer. Store connections are API projects for your own team or an implementation partner, so budget for that as well as the licence.

VividWorks

Suits complex, modular ranges, and adds a room planner. Modular support starts on its €847 plan, plans carry view and asset limits, and implementation is scoped separately.

How to choose between them

Five checks that settle most shortlists, in the order we would do them.

  1. Work out what the fee would cost

Take your monthly sales of custom products and compare a per-sale fee with a flat plan, at your real order values.

  2. List your rules

Write down the combinations you cannot make and the prices that depend on size. If the list is long, check which plan includes conditional logic.

  3. Decide where the journey ends

A cart, a quote request or your ERP each point to different tools. Ask to see that last step working.

  4. Check what you need in 3D

A flat product may not need 3D at all. If it does, decide who will make and maintain the models.

  5. Build one real product in a trial

Zakeke and Kickflip offer 14 days and Customily 9, and Simplio3D starts with a 30-day Pro trial. One real product tells you more than any comparison, including this one.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on why you are leaving. For a 3D configurator with rules, pricing and quotes, we would suggest Simplio3D, bearing in mind that we publish this article. For no-code 2D personalisation, look at Kickflip or Customily. For manufacturer CPQ, look at Threekit or Expivi, and for furniture, Roomle or VividWorks.
